Job Summary
As a WUSC practicum student at UFV, you will play an active role ensuring the sustainability of our committee activities and supporting newly arrived sponsored students. You will both learn about the refugee crisis and assist with refugee sponsorship and settlement.
This Fall, we will be sponsoring two new refugee students and you will have the opportunity to assist in their settlement and integration at UFV. You will also have the exciting opportunity of further promoting WUSC throughout UFV, where you will be able to connect and collaborate with UFV students, faculty, other committees, and the broader Fraser Valley community. You will also be responsible for various communication, coordination, and organizational activities.
Candidate: The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills. This role would suit someone who is majoring in a discipline that aligns with global development, immigration, or peace building.
