: The Chilliwack Cultural Centre is Chilliwack’s very own home for the arts! The Centre has two theatres that currently host a well-weighted mix of local, national and international performances, providing thrilling entertainment drawing audiences from the City of Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley. Within this 65,000 square-foot building is the stunning Odlum Brown Art Gallery, a clay studio, and several art and craft studios for creativity to flourish!
The Queer Arts Festival (QAF) is a one-week festival that is presented by the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. This festival brings together local and visiting Queer artists. The Queer Arts Festival Production Intern, under the guidance and supervision of the Production & Events Coordinator and QAF Committee Chair, is responsible for the logistics and production of the Queer Arts Festival.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Work with the Production & Events Coordinator and QAF Committee Chair, to ensure all logistics across all aspects of the festival are planned and implemented to ensure the success of the festival
Help coordinate festival open calls for artist and performers.
Help coordinate festival details with all festival staff
Support with required set up of QAF events and Exhibitions.
Support with proper execution of Contracts and Tech Riders
Work with the Production & Events Coordinator and QAF Committee Chair to oversee festival production
Adhering to all Chilliwack Cultural Centre policies and procedures
