Job Summary
Human trafficking awareness campaigns are everywhere. ‘Spot the signs’ of human trafficking are located in airports, hotels, and public washrooms; fundraising campaigns use banners such ‘walk for freedom’; and documentaries and Hollywood movies are designed to get the message out. The basic idea behind these campaigns is to inspire people to ‘do something’. But how much do these awareness-raising campaigns actually accomplish? Are they effective? This practicum will offer opportunities to analyze and evaluate human trafficking awareness campaigns, identify issues related to effectiveness, and develop clear, accessible reports and presentations based on your findings tailored to diverse audiences.
CANDIDATE: Are you passionate about using program evaluation to inform legislation, drive policy, and impact practice? This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a real-life application of program evaluation. You will help bridge the gap between evaluation and effective policy making by linking your findings about human trafficking awareness campaigns to policy and funding recommendations.
