Job Summary
This practicum offers hands-on experience in financial management within a community nonprofit that supports survivors of sexual violence. Working with staff at The No Society, the student will help monitor budgets, track revenues and expenses, and support day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks.
Key activities include:
Tracking donations, fundraising revenue, and program expenses
Assisting with budget preparation and financial reporting
Supporting grant budgets and donor reporting
Organizing financial records and improving internal accounting systems
Conducting research on potential funding opportunities
The student will also help streamline financial processes so they remain sustainable after the placement ends

QUALIFICATIONS:
● Basic understanding of bookkeeping and budgeting principles
● Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial work
● Proficiency in Quickbooks
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools
● Ability to maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and ethical standards
● Strong written communication skills, particularly for clear and professional documentation
● Ability to support analytical and administrative financial tasks, including tracking donation or fundraising revenue and assisting with fundraising or program budgeting
● Capacity to prepare or contribute to financial summaries, grant budgets, and donor reporting in a clear, accurate, and professional manner
● Ability to support financial transparency and accountability, including assisting with funding‑related documentation and researching potential funding opportunities (excluding direct outreach or solicitation)
