Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated candidate to join our team at the Abbotsford Downtown Business Association where we foster a thriving and inclusive downtown community and culture through business support, advocacy, promotion, and events. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing and communications while contributing to promoting and enhancing our vibrant downtown area. The association engages with diverse community stakeholders to advance their mandate of supporting businesses: Tourism Abbotsford, City of Abbotsford, Chamber of Commerce, Community Futures South Fraser, UFV, and more.


This position requires a student with:


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in social media platforms (FB, IG)

  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) is essential

  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

  • A passion for their community!
