Job Summary: you will play a key role in shaping the visual identity of the Crystal Gala Foundation, creating eye-catching designs that enhance our fundraising efforts and storytelling, particularly for the Annual Crystal Gala and related campaigns. This hands-on role is ideal for students passionate about graphic design, visual communication, and using creative skills to support meaningful nonprofit causes.
You will:
• Design high-quality marketing and promotional assets, including social media graphics, event posters, banners, invitations, programs, sponsor packages, and digital advertisements.
• Develop and maintain consistent branding across all materials, including updating logos, color schemes, typography, and visual guidelines as needed.
• Create visuals for digital platforms, such as website banners, email newsletter templates, infographics highlighting fundraising impact, and animated graphics or short videos for social media.
• Collaborate with the Gala Committee to conceptualize and produce event specific décor elements (e.g., signage, table cards, auction display graphics) and themed visuals for the Crystal Gala hosted on October 24.
• Assist in photo editing, layout design for print materials (e.g., thank-you cards, annual reports), and preparing files for professional printing or digital distribution with Globe Printers.
• Contribute ideas for visual storytelling, such as designing graphics that showcase donor impact, patient stories, or breast cancer awareness themes.
• Support research on design trends in nonprofit and event marketing to keep our visuals fresh and engaging.
Candidate: A motivated 3rd or 4th year Graphic Design student with a strong portfolio demonstrating skills in visual branding and marketing materials. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, or similar tools; experience with video editing or animation is an asset. Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout; ability to create accessible and inclusive designs.
This will be an opportunity for a Graphic Design student to receive mentorship, contribute to a valuable cause in the community and build a diverse portfolio with real-world nonprofit and event design projects.
