Job Summary

We are seeking a Marketing and Communications practicum student who is interested in learning professional practices, tools, and resources to successfully work in an international setting. The practicum student will be responsible for a number of tasks related to international marketing and communication, as well as work with a variety of stakeholders in the consortium. The ideal practicum student should be curious about international education, passionate to work in a global environment and be open and willing to learn a variety of intercultural skills. The ideal practicum student would be a self-motivated, independent, organized and creative person open to working in a virtual, fast-paced, intercultural environment.

Candidate: The ideal practicum student should be curious about international education, passionate to work in a global environment and be open and willing to learn a variety of inter-cultural skills. The ideal practicum student would be a self-motivated, independent, organized and creative person open to working in a virtual, fast-paced, intercultural environment.

The UMAP Marketing and Communications practicum student may be studying in a variety of academic disciplines, including but not limited to:


a) Graphic Design

b) Communications

c) Global Development Studies

d) Modern Languages

e) Media Arts


Practicum students must have a high--level of English language proficiency. Additional language skills represented in the UMAP consortium membership will be considered an asset. Preferred additional languages include: Bahasa, Cantonese, French, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Mandarin, Mongolian, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, Vietnamese.
