Job Summary

The Housing Student position opportunity will involve supporting and working with individuals experiencing multiple barriers, experiencing homelessness, and fleeing domestic violence. Students will learn about barriers to housing, and community supports and ways to increase community connections. Student will shadow housing workers in the program to learn first hand how to navigate the many barriers people experience, as well as how to support and help. 


Candidate: The ideal candidate will be interested in learning about community support services in Abbotsford and Mission, be able to provide information on resources and referral programs, and have a passion for barriers for women in society. This role will suit students interested in pursuing a career in social services, in outreach and/or in the public health sector. Confidentiality and a criminal records check are required.
