Job Summary
This practicum opportunity will involve supporting and working with individuals experiencing multiple barriers. Student will learn about barriers to housing, and community supports and ways to increase community connections. Student will shadow outreach workers in community and office and learn first-hand how to navigate the many barriers people experience, as well as how to support and help.
Candidate: The ideal candidate will be interested in learning about community support services in Abbotsford and will be able to provide information on resources and referral programs. This role will suit students interested in pursuing a career in education, in outreach and/or in the public health sector.
