Job Summary

The Abbotsford Fire Fighter's Association and The Reach Gallery Archive are collaborating on a first-time heritage project in Abbotsford. The project involves archival research, data collection, and potentially some interviews with retired first responders on their unique experiences as firefighters in the the Fraser Valley.


Candidate: The role is ideal for a student who has a passion for historical research, local labour history and how emergency preparedness has evolved through factual accounts of firefighter experiences in the Fraser Valley community. Preference will be given to students enrolled in HIST 401 but this post is open to candidates in other applicable majors.


Students will be required to meet at The Reach Gallery and with their supervisor from the Fire Fighter's Association.
