Job Summary
In this practicum, the student will generate activity ideas and prepare a monthly flyer for matches, create activity workplans for 2023-24, and be instrumental in organizing the in-person Group Activities both for matches and for our waitlisted children. If possible, this candidate will lend support to the Deals for Bigs program in terms of communicating with our local businesses who are currently involved with the program and looking for opportunities to bring on new businesses.
Candidate: This project is ideal for someone who is very creative, detailed oriented and is highly organized. Some experience planning and executing small to large events/function would be an asset. Strong written and oral communication skills will be required. A student that is able to work independently, remain flexible, problem solve and handle challenging situations in a calm and mature manner would be important.
Note: This role involves a volunteer intake process that includes a criminal record check and driver’s abstract. Transportation is essential to attend the various planned activities.
