Job Summary

The successful student will assist the Culture Services team in the research and design of arts and culture programming and community engagement initiatives. This includes:


a) studying other municipal or community-led arts, heritage and culture roundtables/networks to identify best practices and opportunities.

b) exploring examples of other successful temporary public art projects and placemaking programs.


The Candidate: The student will work alongside City of Abbotsford staff and consultants, and will prepare research specific to our culture programming goals and report on emerging opportunities. This would be an ideal position for students with a strong research background, outstanding communication skills (oral and written), and excellent analytical skills. The successful candidate will also be expected to work independently and meet deadlines as set by their supervisor.
