Job Summary
The No Society: By Survivors, For Survivors is a local charity helping survivors of sexual violence across the Fraser Valley find healing and justice. They do this by bridging the gaps to much-needed resources through in-person peer support, an online local resource hub, and by awareness-raising. The No Society is dedicated to all things to being survivor-led, dignifying, and inclusive.

In this practicum, students learn how to develop professional content for a local not-for-profit. This includes Instagram content, blog posts, newsletters, infographics and more. With the Executive Director's guidance, students are encouraged to use their creative skills, brainstorm and create content that helps local survivors and educates the public on the local realities of sexual violence. Posts will focus on making known resources available and giving a voice to survivors of sexual violence. The student will participate in team meetings, receive regular 1:1 support with a team member for mentorship and feedback, and create media project campaigns.
Candidate: This position is ideal for someone with strong content creation skills, and passion to serve survivors of sexual violence. Students must be available for 1 day per week (10am-6pm on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday) to accommodate the organization's hours of operation.
