Job Summary

Are you curious about teaching and/or education in a unique environment? Correctional Service Canada is offering students a chance to provide classroom support in a multi-level setting inside federal institutions. Institution locations vary across the Fraser Valley from Abbotsford to Agassiz. Students are working at various levels of ability and on a range of subjects (including language, math, science, social studies and computers skills from Grade 3 to 12 level). The candidate will provide one on one tutoring support in a supervised setting. Classroom sizes range from 5 to 15 students.


The Candidate: The candidate work with an institution teacher. The ideal candidate is professional with strong boundaries, displays empathy and compassion, is an excellent communicator and team player and must be respectful of all security protocols. Candidates who are passionate about teaching and engaging with disadvantages populations will do well in this role. The successful candidate must be willing to go through security screening and training.
